Essential Edit is a syntax highlighting edit control that is designed to be extensible and easy to use. Essential Edit supports automatic outlining, mulit-level undo-redo, rich formatting options and easy configuration. It comes with predefined XML based language configurations for syntax coloring of some commonly used languages, and also supports creation of custom configurations for any desired language. Configuration files can be used to specify outlining blocks and syntax highlighting of embedded scripts as well. Essential Edit has rich text editing features in addition to the code highlighting abilities which makes it a highly efficient text editor as well. Also available with source code. |
